Lakeland Humane Society offering barn buddies

A couple of lucky felines could become your new friend on the farm or at your shop. The Lakeland Humane Society is offering up a few cats as part of its “Barn Buddies” program. The program see cats that can’t be adopted into a home sent out to farms, acreages or shop owners as rodent control animals.

The fee for adopting a Barn Buddy is only $25 compared to the $150 it usually costs for a full grown cat. The society says that three female cats are currently up for adoption with the program. You can learn more about the program as well as the society by visiting their website.
