The province is gearing up for career week and the Lakeland is no exception. The government of Alberta has partnered with about 150 communities around the province to host a variety of job fairs, info session and more. Bonnyville will be hosting a session on Thursday and Maurice Brousseau, Supervisor for Alberta Supports, says that the event will be an informative and up close look at programs being offered to help Albertans get working.

“It’s from 10:30 till 2. We’re gonna have some of our contractors come along with ourselves and we’ll showcase what we do at Alberta Supports, for the career and labour market in Bonnyville.”

Brousseau says the opportunity to gain a plan for employment from the staff on hand is fantastic for anyone looking for work.

“You get to meet the folks that help with career planning. We’re gonna have our career and employment consultants up front, showcasing what we do here at Alberta Supports to help people find employment.”

The workshop in Bonnyville is taking place at New Park Place on April 26th and it starts at 10:30 am. Coffee and snacks will be made available.
