Lac La Biche RCMP arrest man wanted for Edmonton mall murder

Lac La Biche RCMP are saying they’ve caught the man wanted province-wide for a beating in an Edmonton shopping mall that left one person dead. Police are saying that 23 year old Jordan Martin Cushnie was arrested by members of the Lac La Biche RCMP detachment early yesterday evening.

Cushie was wanted by police after a fight last Tuesday resulted in the death of 61 year old Iain Armstrong who was trying to stop a thief in Southgate Mall, located on the south side of Edmonton. Armstrong worked at the Bunches Flowers Co. inside the mall.

Cushie is now making his way back to Edmonton with police to face charges including second degree murder. Homicide detectives are still investigating the incident.
