Two Lac La Biche men arrested on firearms charges

Boyle RCMP are saying they’ve arrested two Lac La Biche men after a man was threatened at a house in Athabasca county. Police say they originally got a call on April 12th about a man being threatened with a gun. No one was hurt in the original incident.

Mounties conducted a search warrant on the home in question. Police say they found enough evidence to arrest a 33 year old and a 45 year old man, both of whom are from Lac La Biche. The pair face charges including possession of a prohibited firearm and tampering with the serial number of a firearm among others.

Police also arrested a 37 year old from Athabasca county for a number of charges including assault and careless use of a firearm in connection with the call.

The pair of Lac La Biche men are due in court on April 24th.
