Bonnyville mounties arrest two after mailbox thefts

Bonnyville RCMP are saying they have arrested and charged two people after a rash of mailbox thefts in town. Mounties say they received a call on April 7th at about 2:30 in the morning about someone trying to steal mail and were able to arrest a woman a short time later.

Police say they found more evidence of stolen mail after a search warrant was executed on the woman’s house later that day. Police have arrested a 27 year old Bonnyville woman and a 32 year old man, also from Bonnyville, and both have been charged with numerous counts of theft from a mailbox, among other charges. They were both released from custody with a promise to appear in Bonnyville Provincial Court on April 17th.
