2018 road bans in effect for MD of Bonnyville

The MD of Bonnyville has announced that 2018 road bans have come into effect. The bans are used by the MD to help limit damage to local roads used by heavy transport and equipment during the spring thaw. Officials with Transportation and Utilities are reminding operators that it is up to them to remember load limits on roads, and that the MD may ban any and all roads at its sole discretion do to road deterioration.

From March 26th to April 30th, no drilling rig moves will be approved on MD roads. Bans will start to ease up around May 1st with inspection from MD officials. A list of roads affected can be found by clicking here.
