Stay Healthy this Holiday season.

Spread joy, not germs – Stay healthy this holiday season.

Tis the season of gatherings, and unfortunately – the spread of seasonal illness. With both respiratory and gastrointestinal illness already impacting communities around the north zone,  Alberta Health Services is reminding all Albertans of routine precautions to protect their health and prevent illness in the days and weeks ahead.  It is important to stay in good health by covering the basics.

“Leading a healthy lifestyle, good nutrition, getting enough rest and enough exercise and getting your flu shot as it is not too late,” explains Medical Officer of Health Doctor Katherine Koliaska. “If you do get sick, make sure you cover your cough and clean your hands, also, stay home when you’re sick.”

Koliaska notes keeping household surfaces clean, regularly using household cleaner can also aid in keeping yourself healthy.
