Elk Lake and St. Paul working on recreation master plan

The towns of Elk Lake and St. Paul are working together on a Recreation Services Master Plan. It will look at what’s currently available for people living in the region, which also includes the County of St. Paul and the Summer Village of Horseshoe Bay.

The plan will identify priorities for the communities, and make recommendations about recreation facilities and services. It will be done with the planning company RC Strategies + PERC.

Part of the process will be consulting with the community. That will be done through a survey, that will be mailed to households in the region early this year. Local groups will also be canvassed.

The plan should be done by the end of 2018.
