Air Quality Advisory Lifted For Northern Alberta

The precautionary air quality advisory issued for all of northern Alberta this summer has been lifted. Alberta Health Services says the wildfires that were affecting the air quality in the region are no longer a threat.

“Though forecasting suggests these improved air quality conditions will be sustained, Albertans are reminded that air quality can vary with weather conditions and prevailing winds at any time of the year,” AHS notes in a release.

Residents can find air quality conditions at www.airquality.alberta.ca. Anyone with health concerns can contact Health Link at 8-1-1.
