Ducharme Motors Donates 1500 Dollars to Friendship Centre

A recent campaign by Ducharme Motors has raised 1500 dollars for the Bonnyville Friendship Centre.

The fundraising effort was part of Ford’s national “We Scare Hunger” program, which encourages local dealerships across the country to raise money for their local food bank. Ducharme challenged the public to come in and make donations, with the dealership matching the total. Locals raised 750 dollars, bringing the total to 1500.

“This is awesome,” says Pauline Mawer with the Friendship Centre. “September, October, November December, we get a lot of donations food-wise. Any cash donations we receive are used over the summer when donations go down. We’re thankful for every little bit. We’re thankful for the community, for Ducharme, for the businesses in this area that support us with their whole heart.”
