19 Year Old Fort McMurray Man Arrested for Murder

Just before 8:00am on March 17, 2015,  the Wood Buffalo RCMP officers were called to Mustang Road in Fort McMurray where EMS was on scene with a 26-year-old man who had been a victim of an aggravated assault. The man was transported to the local hospital where he later died.   Autopsy results determined the cause of death was due to a stab wound.

On Tuesday April 7th, 2015, police arrested 19 year old Nigel LaFrance of Fort McMurray without incident.

Nigel LaFrance has been charged with;

–        One Count of First Degree Murder.

–        One Count of Robbery with a Weapon.

–        One Count of Carrying a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.

 

Mr. LaFrance has been remanded into custody until his first court appearance in Fort McMurray Provincial Court on Monday April 13th, 2015.
