Charges Laid in Fishing Lake/ Frog Lake Shooting Incident

A man is now in custody and charges are pending following reports of shots being fired on the Fishing Lake Metis Settlement.

Shortly before six yesterday evening Elk Point RCMP responded to reports of shots being fired from a vehicle, however police were unable to locate the vehicle. No one was injured.

At around ten, police say they located the vehicle with the male suspect inside and during a traffic stop he fled into a wooded area. The RCMP Members along with a RCMP Helicopter and the RCMP Police Dog Services searched the area and arrested the male without incident early this morning.

Police say they will be providing an update as more information becomes available. The investigation is ongoing.
