Man Found After Missing From Beaver River For 12 Hours

Bonnyville Search and Rescue reports that they were called out in the early hours of Tuesday morning to locate a man who had been missing on the Beaver River for nearly twelve hours.

The man was on a peaceful floating trip from Highway 55 to Highway 41. However, he was long overdue by the time authorities were called in. Search and Rescue reports that a Good Samaritan eventually found him, but didn’t elaborate any further than that.

Bonnyville Search and Rescue would like to remind everyone that the Beaver river is running high and fast. Also, there is no cell service along most of the river. Please be safe around all bodies of water.
