LLOYDMINSTER RCMP CHARGE MAN WITH CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Story by Chris Roach

Lloydminster RCMP have charged a man with criminal harassment after being notified of a collision that occurred in the Border City.

A victim reported the collision to RCMP, saying that an unknown man approached him outside of a restaurant and started recording him and accusing him of trying to meet with a young boy.

The victim jumped into his car and was able to get away but another vehicle followed him for a short distance. Once stopped, the same man who approached him before blocked his vehicle and demanded he got out. Fearing for his safety, the victim backed up, hitting a parked car, but was able to flee the area and call police.

RCMP have charged a 22 year old man from Marsden with Common Nuisance, Criminal Harassment and Mischief. He was released on Recognizance with court conditions and is set to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on August 28, 2017.
