Cenovus Donates $5K to Bonnyville Library

The Bonnyville Municipal Library has received a 5000 dollar from Cenovus.

The company also covered the food costs for the kickoff event for the library’s summer reading program.

“It’s always wonderful to have somebody phone you and say ‘we’re going to give you five thousand dollars’ and you don’t even have to ask for it,” says library director Ina Smith. Cenovus made similar donations to all the libraries in the regions they serve. Councillors from both the MD and town of Bonnyville were present for the check presentation ceremony.

Smith says they spent the money to add seating to the library’s preteen area. They expect the new furniture to arrive by September.
