MD Reminds Residents of Garbage Rules

The MD of Bonnyville is reminding residents about what you can and can’t put in a dumpster after uncovering a few items at one site that could have caused serious injury.

Crews had to pull out a satellite dish, a tire, what appears to be some sort of plow attachment for a vehicle and most concerning, a propane tank.

Putting these items in the dumpster can cause damage to the MD’s equipment if not caught beforehand, and in cases of flammable material like the propane tank, cause fires and injuries. The MD has several landfills and transfer stations that can take garbage like this free of charge. There’s also the toxic roundup on June 24th at the Bonnyville fire hall that can dispose of hazardous waste for you as well.
