Cold Lake MD Park Closed Down From Storm Damage

This past weekend’s snowstorm is still making its presence felt around the Lakeland.

The storm was able to knock out power and telephone services to the Cold Lake M.D. Park, meaning that the campground can’t book reservations until they’re back up.

The MD of Bonnyville is asking people to stay out of the park and off the trails in it for their own safety. A lot of trees lost branches or fell over entirely in the storm making travel on foot dangerous.

The MD will be providing updates once power and phone service is back up and running and staff have had the opportunity to clean up the debris and fallen trees.
