MD Funds Rec Projects

The MD of Bonnyville has awarded funding to three recreation projects around the Lakeland.

The spending will see 150,000 dollars go towards the Bonnyville Golf & Country Club, 240,000 dollars to Walsh Field and 8,000 to Extreme Mudfest. The Golf club will use their money towards part of the costs of replacing their watering system. The club had originally asked for the money in installments over five years but council decided to get it out of the way with one lump sum. The club hopes to raise most of the rest of the money through private fundraising.

The money for Walsh Field will be put towards replacing the running track and putting in a turf field. Most of the money for the project has been supplied by an anonymous donor.
