Winter Storm Watch In Place for the Lakeland

Second Winter is coming.

Despite the relatively mild weather today, Environment Canada is forecasting 20 to 30 centimetres of snow for much of Eastern Alberta, including the Lakeland on Friday.

An intense low pressure system developing over Montana is expected to make its way into the area late Thursday night and might make driving a miserable experience, with strong winds from the east expected to make visibility poor as well.

As the system is still developing, there remains uncertainty in just where it will ht and what areas will be hit hardest. Environment Canada will be providing updates as the situation evolves.
