The town of Elk Point has voted to keep their mill rate the same for the tenth consecutive year, which means your property taxes probably won’t go up.
However, it’s not quite that simple. The mill rate is based off your property’s assessed value. If that value went up over last year then you’ll be paying more regardless. Although the school requisition has been increased by the Province, the town has elected to absorb those extra costs.
