Rednecks with a Cause Raises 42K

Rednecks with a Cause held their fourth annual Autism Awareness dinner, dance and auction on Saturday, raising money for the needs of children on the spectrum in the Lakeland.

The charity reports that although some minor expenses haven’t been calculated yet, they managed to raise around 42,000 dollars for this year’s gala, topping last year by nearly 5,000 bucks.

Held in the Beaver River Fish and Game Building, the event saw over seventy silent auction items and a dozen live auction items donated for the cause. Former Pontiacs Brinson and Steenn Pasichnuk donated a pair of signed jerseys for their new college team at Arizona State. Another lucky bidder managed to get a boar hunting trip out of the evening. Portraits of Bobby Orr and Wayne Gretzky were auctioned off as well.

Patrons got to enjoy some catering from Yum’s the Word and later enjoy some music from Mid Life Crisis.
