A fundraiser to help a local woman with cancer is coming up this weekend.
Melissa Styba was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia on February 23rd. She will receive treatment in Edmonton over the next four to six months. Friends and family are organizing a dinner & dance at the Beaver River Fish and Game Building to raise funds and show support. Styba is 32 years old with three children as is a very active member of the Bonnyville community.
The event begins at 5:30 this Saturday.
