Care To Learn Preschool Offering Open House

Care to Learn Preschool has scheduled an open house for their programs on Friday the 24th.

Care to Learn is a provincially-licensed program that operates out of eight Northern Lights Schools – Ardmore School, Cold Lake Elementary School, Duclos School, Glendon School, Iron River School, North Star Elementary School, Vera M. Welsh Elementary School and Wandering River School. Wandering River will be the only one not holding an open house that day, scheduling it for the day before instead.

“There’s no school that day, so it is a great opportunity for parents and children to come check out our preschool classrooms, find out about our programs and ask any questions they might have,” said Glenda Bouvier, Preschool and Out of School Care Co-ordinator.

Registration for the 2017-2018 school year will start on April 18th. This will be the first year Care to Learn will allow parents to register their kids and pay their fees online. The paperwork will be accessible on the NLPS website, as well as all of the relevant school websites.

“We want to make things as convenient as possible for our parents,” explained Bouvier. “We’ve had a lot of requests for this in previous years and are pleased to be able to offer online registrations this year.”

More information about Care to Learn Preschool, program options for each site, fees, and the registration process for 2017-2018 is available on the Northern Lights Public Schools website – www.nlsd.ab.ca
