Victim Rammed Off Road and Beaten in Goodfish Lake

A man has been arrested, but the search for more suspects continues after a driver was rammed off the road and beaten in Goodfish Lake.

The victim’s vehicle was hit into a ditch. A group of people pulled them out and assaulted them with weapons. During the beating, a single shot was fired into the air by one of the suspects. The victim was not shot but did suffer serious non-life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital in Edmonton.

Bryan Hunter, a 27-year-old from Goodfish Lake was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and failing to comply with court orders (X5).

Hunter was remanded into custody after a hearing and is set to appear in St. Paul Provincial Court on Thursday.

Police believe this was not a random act and the investigation continues in relation to this incident.
