Garbage Down, Recycling Up in MD

The MD of Bonnyville might be having success in encouraging more recycling, according to last year’s numbers.

The MD collected 2,850 tonnes of household garbage in 2016, compared to 3,210 in 2015. Recycling is up in the same period as well.

“Maybe it’s our recycling,” said Ag and Waste Service Director Matt Janz. “Maybe we can pat ourselves on the back for that. It probably also has to do with a few less people in the area too.”
