Three Arrested in Lac La Biche B & E

Lac La Biche RCMP have made three arrests after a break-in early Tuesday morning.

RCMP responded to the incident around 2 in the morning at a house near Highway 36. The victims say the suspects got in by breaking a window. One of the suspects had a gun and threatened the two people inside with it. All three fled in a vehicle before the cops got there. Fortunately nobody was hurt.

One woman was arrested a short time later without incident. A man and another woman were arrested later the same day.

32-year-old Marcy Yvonne Ballantyne, 22-year-old Waylon Dennis Ballantyne and 36-year-old Suzie Amanda Cardinal, all from Lac La Biche, have been charged with:

Break and enter
Uttering threats
Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

Marcy Yvonne Ballantyne was released on a Recognizance with court imposed conditions and will appear in Lac La Biche Provincial Court on March 20th.

Waylon Dennis Ballantyne and Suzie Amanda Cardinal did not speak to bail and were remanded into custody and will appear in Lac La Biche Provincial Court on March 13th.

As this matter is now before the courts no further information will be made available.
