Mallaig School Closed Due to Threats

St. Paul RCMP continue to investigate after Ecole Mallaig school was closed down today due to implied threats.

“Late last night, Ecole Mallaig School received information that involved general, implied threats towards the school,” a statement from Superintendent Glen Brodziak of St. Paul Education Regional Division No.1 reads. “As is our protocol, St. Paul RCMP was immediately contacted and they are continuing to investigate the seriousness of the threat.”

“The safety of our students and staff is paramount. Our actions and decisions are guided by our commitment to student safety, our responsibilities under the school act and respect for procedures and practices of the law.”
