Lac La Biche Holding Open Houses on Land Use Bylaw

Lac La Biche County has been taking a look at their Land Use Bylaw and and is now looking for the public’s opinion.

The County is holding two open house, one in Plamondon on March 8th at the Festival Centre and one in Lac La Biche on March 9th in the McArthur Room at McArthur Place. Both will be from 5 to 7 PM.

While “Land Use Bylaw” might sound a bit bureaucratic, it’s one of the municipality’s tasks that has the greatest effect on residents. It basically determines what kind of buildings can be placed where in the county and what rules have to be followed for them. It’s why you don’t have a liquor store right in the middle of a residential subdivision or a house in the industrial area. Topics that have generated interest in the past include work camp regulations and downtown parking requirements.
