Today is the early bird deadline for the Alberta STARS Lottery and they need your help.
Spokesperson for STARS Cam Heke says they were down ticket sales last year at about this time but they are falling behind about 20 per cent more than that this year. This is the organization’s largest fundraiser and they look to make about 11 million dollars to support communities they work in. Heke says these funds are important for having pilots and flight nurses flown out to emergencies.
There are 760 thousand tickets printed. If you buy your ticket today, you can sneak in before the early bird deadline and possibly win 50 thousand dollars cash or a truck and trailer.
