RCMP Detachments in The Lakeland are asking anyone attending to another’s property to check up on it as soon as possible. Over the last few months, there has been a high number of properties in The Lakeland broken into while the occupants were on vacation or away for an extended period of time, for example camp work.
On March 10th, the most recent of these incidents occurred, when a home located on Highway 55 and 897 was broken into. Many items of value were stolen including coats, boots, cash and electronics.
The RCMP thanks the public for being vigilant and would like anyone in charge of another’s property to look in on it. Police also ask if you know anything about this crime or witnessed anything suspicious to contact the Cold Lake Detachment.
