The A.G Ross Arena in Elk Point would very much appreciate it if skaters would stop shooting pucks at the time clock.
After recently having to fix the glass on the clock, staff and volunteers were dismayed to discover it had been cracked again earlier today. The best guess workers have is that someone was taking slapshots at the glass to try and shoot the puck through the hole. The arena has taken to social media to politely, but firmly request whoever’s doing that to stop.
“The arena needs a lot of work, and it isn’t helpful to have to divert funds and volunteer hours to repairing this kind of damage,” a statement on the arena’s Facebook page reads.
The arena is receiving $54,235 from the federal government for upgrades as part of Canada’s 150th birthday. Having to fix and replace things that get broken however, will eat into that figure.
