The MD of Bonnyville has announced that a public hearing will be held at the February 8th council meeting regarding plans to temporarily hand over a road allowance to a property owner next to it.
A road allowance is a narrow stretch of land owned by the government between properties set aside for roads. Although a placeholder for them, a road allowance doesn’t always have a road on it.
The stretch in question for the hearing is located west of the southwest quarter of Section 18,Township 59, Range 7 (pictured above.) Anyone who wishes to speak either in favour of or against the proposal can do so at the February 8th council meeting at 10 AM. The MD chamber is located at 4905– 50 Avenue in Bonnyville.
