Town and MD Holding IDP Open House

The town and MD of Bonnyville have scheduled an open house on February 1st regarding their Intermunicipal Development Plan (IDP) in the Alberta Room of the Neighbourhood Inn.

The plan basically gives a strategy for what the area in the MD close to the town’s borders will be used for. Residents can drop-in after 5:30 to talk with staff from both governments and consultants. A formal presentation is planned for 6:30.

“The purpose of the Open House is to look at defining the desired future for lands within the IDP Plan area and assess the opportunities as well as the challenges of planning the area,” a statement from the town reads. Stantec Consulting Ltd. had been retained to assist with the process.
