Rednecks with a Cause to Host Benefit Dance

The Annual Autism Awareness Dinner, Dance & Silent Auction is planned for April 18th. Rednecks with a Cause are putting on their casual dress event to spread autism awareness, with entertainment from the Boyz in Black. The organization hopes to raise money for an internationally renowned speaker, Leah Kuypers, to come to The Lakeland.

Kuypers conducts a presentation called  “The Zones of Regulation”. A write up on The Autism Awareness website describes it as :

“This presentation provides teachers, therapists and parents with hands-on knowledge on the nature of self-regulation and strategies for improving self-regulation and emotional control in individuals of all ages. The presentation addresses topics such as: the brain’s involvement, typical development, sensory processing, emotional regulation, and executive functioning.”

Rednecks with a Cause is hoping that by hosting the fundraiser they will be able to cover all the costs of Kuypers presentation and bringing her to The Centennial Centre. Rednecks with a Cause also likes to keep the costs down for families and are looking for sponsorship and auction items for the event. You can donate by contacting Gary Mostert at [email protected] or find them on Facebook HERE.
