Attempted Child Luring Reported in Lac La Biche

Lac La Biche RCMP are investigating after a reported attempted child luring.

RCMP say A suspicious man driving in pulled over near Lakeview Crescent around 5  PM on December 1st and asked a young girl to get into his vehicle while she was walking to a grocery store. She refused and the man fled. The police were notified the next day

The suspect is described as:

· Aboriginal or Asian male with tanned skin
· Approximately 30-40 years old
· Short black thin hair
· Dark eyes with bags underneath
· Very skinny build
· Wearing a black shell jacket

The suspect vehicle is described as:

· 4 door older silver car (possibly a Honda or Toyota)
· Loud engine
· Tinted back windows
· Spoiler or fin on the trunk
· Grey fuzzy seats inside

Police commend the girl for refusing to approach the car and for advising adults, and remind parents and caregivers of the importance of educating children about safety.
