St. Paul Council Votes to Forego Pay Raises

The mayor and councillors of the town of St. Paul will be paid the same next year as they were for 2016 and 15.

In the unanimous decision, the mayor will continue to make 2,600 dollars a month, with councillors reciving 1,500 dollars a month each. Mayor and council are also compensated for each meeting they attend as well, $225 for four hours or more and $135 for less than four hours. This too has been unchanged.

The council is also given 5,000 dollars a year for work-related expenses such as travel and office supplies.
