A 14-year-old who broke into a Cold Lake residence and robbed the occupants on November 9th has also been charged in connection with the 20 minute blitz robbery of three liquor stores in the city this past July.
the Best Spirits Wine & Liquor Shoppe, Sobey’s Liquor on 51st Street and PJ’s Liquor Store were all hit between 9:10 and 9:30 on the night of July 8th by two teenage boys. In all three cases the staff were bear sprayed. At two of the locations alcohol was also stolen. The first suspect was arrested a few days later.
The recently captured suspect faces the following charges:
Robbery x 3.
Assault With a Weapon x 5.
Fail to Comply With a Recognizance x 3.
Administering a noxious thing x 5.
Mischief Under $5000.00.
Fail to Comply With a Recognizance x 5.
Robbery x 3.
Break and Enter into a Dwelling House and Commit Robbery.
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000.00.
Theft Under $5000.00
He has been remanded into custody and will be next appearing at Cold Lake Youth Justice Court via CCTV on December 14th at 10 AM.
