Cold Lake’s Santa Claus Parade is this Friday at 6:30 and is shaping up to be another great event.
The city’s community event organizer Alana Pegg says around 40 to 45 floats have registered so far, but there’s still time for more to sign up. In fact, registrations are open up to the day of the event itself, so long as the interested party is ready to go. “We’re pretty flexible with that,” she says.
While the parade route is largely the same as last year, there is one slight change. “The meeting is changing this year just because of the construction that’s taking place. We’ll have everybody start at the parking lot by Original Joe’s, so we’ll come up that road and then on to Main Street.”
ATCO will have a table on the parade route collecting donations for the food bank. Free hot dogs and hot chocolate will be provided too.
