It’s Random Acts of Kindness Week in Elk Point

The F.G. Miller Jr Sr High School in Elk Point is spreading a positive message all this week through Random Acts of Kindness says organizer Sherry Bower Gagne.

Bower Gagne says along with spreading positivity the school is celebrating Pink Day today, Wednesday February 25th. Everyone is encouraged to wear pink to show they stand up to bullying. The school also raised funds and awareness by selling pink shirts, specially designed by a student and made locally at Knotty Boyz in Elk Point.

Another student, Kelsey Phillips also was inspired by Teens for Jeans. The program pairs every Aeropostale store with a local homeless shelter and all jeans that are collected during the period of the drive and given to the store are donated to the shelter. The school collected over 400 pairs of jeans to help the initiative.

The Random Act of Kindness week wraps up Friday with a dance for the students.
