Main Street Intersection Up and Running

After being a roundabout during construction, the main street intersection in Cold Lake has been completely remodelled and was ready to go for this morning’s commute.

The city says the prolonged spurt of warm weather in the area allowed the contractor to make significantly more progress than anticipated. While the intersection is open, it will still take a while to perfect the details. City staff say it will still take a few weeks to get the traffic lights coordinated for the best possible traffic flow.

Be advised there will still be some construction going on in the intersection for a while yet, so drive cautiously in the area.
