A four-way stop is being installed in Fort Kent as well as parking restrictions along main street in Ardmore.
The Municipal District of Bonnyville says in Ardmore, large, heavy vehicles will only be permitted to be parked for one hour maximum along the main street once signs are installed.
The Municipality also notes public safety officers have been called to a significant number of single vehicle collisions along M.D. roads, the majority occurring on the La Corey North Resource Road. Most of the accidents have happened because the vehicle pulled into the ditch when the wheels catch the snow at the edge of the roadway.
Officers say vehicles travelling at higher speeds result in more severe situations than just being pulled slightly into the ditch at a lower speed.
