Fire Permits Not Required in MD, But Please Call Fire Authority in Advance

November marks the end of fire season, meaning you no longer have to get a permit to start a fire in the MD of Bonnyville. However, the Regional Fire Authority would still like you give them a call if you plan to.

The Authority requests you register your fire with them so that if someone is walking by, sees a plume of smoke and calls them, they can look it up and see if its just your fire going. This will save them and you a lot of trouble. To register call 780-826-7446

When registering your burns please be prepared to provide the following information:
– Name
– Legal land description or rural address
– Material being burnt
– Contact phone number
– Expected completion date of the burn

If you have any question please contact the Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority at 780-826-4755 during regular business hours (8:30 am – 4:30 pm).
