Three suspects are now in police custody after a standoff and firefight near Vegreville overnight.
During the standoff an RCMP officer was shot in the shoulder and is now in stable condition at hospital. Another officer was run over by a truck and is now being treated in an Edmonton hospital with several broken bones and internal injuries.
The officers were carrying out duties at a rural property near Vegreville when the incident took place.
Two men and one woman were arrested, but no names have been released.
