The Lakeland Humane Society Hopes The Owner Picks This Goat Up Soon

The Lakeland Humane Society sees a lot of furry friends come through its doors, but this is the first time Shelter Manager Kyla Hunter has seen the shelter take in a goat.

“The Peace Officers brought it in. It was running stray in Cold Lake North,” she says. The goat came in over lunch today. “It obviously came from outside of town and people might be at work, but we’re hoping they might check to see if they’re missing a goat and then come and get him from us quickly.”

The shelter does have some hay lying around for their rabbits so they can feed it for a while, but it’s much more suited for housing cats and dogs. If you or anyone you know owns goats, check the herd to see if anybody is missing.
