A Bonnyville man is helping break a Guinness book of world records title and raise money for the Alberta Cancer Foundation. Mike Naim, part-owner of Mr. Mike’s in Bonnyville, is taking part in The World’s Longest Hockey Game which is being played out for an intended 250 hours in Sherwood Park this week. Naim, who will be taking a shift ref’ing Thursday, will help raise money for a piece of equipment that’s needed at The Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton through his restaurant, Naim explains.
Because there isn’t a clinic of its kind in the Lakeland, many Lakelanders utilize The Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton. You can donate at Mr. Mikes in Bonnyville until the end of the game on February 16th.
