If you’re a farmer or just curious about how your food gets made and want to ask some questions, the Alberta Beef Producers are holding an Open Meeting for Zone 8 on November 1st at Sandy Rapids Hall.
“We’re trying to change our focus a little bit this year,” says representative Gordon Graves. “We’re wanting the producers to bring more of their concerns forward rather than us directing the discussion. That being said we do want to talk about some things like promotion and whatnot. I know it’s a hard ask when cattle prices are dropping and we’ve had a brutal summer in terms of getting quality feed off. But we do want to bring that up as we’re an exporting nation.”
A beef on a bun supper will be provided at 6 before the meeting gets under way.
