Lakeland Catholic School Division has announced that enrolment in their schools is up 12.9% this year.
As of September 30th, 2016, which is when the province requires an official enrolmentcount, Lakeland Catholic School District has 2270 students registered in Kindergarten to grade 12. The Bonnyville school system is up by 56 students (or 6.4%), the Cold Lake school system is up by 103 students (or 10%) and Light of Christ Catholic School in Lac La Biche has 104 students registered (Kindergarten to Grade 7).
Superintendent Joe Arruda said, “We are extremely pleased to see this growth in our District. Lakeland Catholic School District provides high quality education, we offer safe and inclusive learning settings and we have a diverse range of programs.”
