Suspects Charged In Murder of Alfred Wagner

RCMP have charged and arrested two people with First Degree Murder in the death of 83-year-old Alfred Wagner.

Wagner’s body was discovered in his home on the afternoon of Sunday, October 16, 2016, launching an investigation by the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment and the RCMP’s Major Crime Unit – North from Edmonton.

25-year-old Frank James Frenchman  and 20-year-old Arizona Chastity Frenchman have both been arrested in Edmonton. Frank was arrested on the 18th and Arizona was arrested yesterday. Although living in Kehewin at the time, they are not registered band members. Police are saying this was a random act and that there does not appear to have been any previous relationship between the accused and the victim.

The RCMP say that they would like to thank the media and public for their assistance in this investigation and advise that additional information will not be available from police given that this matter is before the court.
