Cold lake Considering Mountain Bike Track

the Speed Demons Mountain Bike Group was at the last Cold Lake city council meeting pitching the idea to build a mountain bike course within the city limits. Council proved to be quite receptive to the proposal.

The group made the proposal citing increased quality of life, more recreation options, employment for contractors and perhaps even hosting races in the future as benefits for the community. Council was on board with the proposal and said they’d look into it in the next budget.

The group proposed that the track be built in an area near the museum. Keeping quadders and ditbikers off the track however, was raised by council as a concern that would need to be addressed.
