Cold Lake Drug Bust Leads to 3 Arressts

Cold Lake RCMP have arrested three people in a drug bust conducted on a residence on Tuesday.

27-year-old Kut Maleuth Deng of Regina, 20- year-old Jordon Myles Skelhorne of Edmonton,and a -16-year-old girl from Ile a la Crosse, Saskatchewan, were all taken into custody. Police seized 170 grams of coacaine, evidence of drug trafficking as well as small amount of marijuana.

Kut Deng and Jordan Skelhorne are each facing a total of 6 charges. 2 counts of possession of cocaine/crack cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cannabis marihuana, possession of proceeds of crime under $5000.00, possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of a prohibited weapon while being prohibited. The 16-year-old is facing 2 charges of possession of cocaine/crack cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime under $5000.00 and possession of cannabis marijuana.

Each suspect was granted bail before appearing in court. Skelhorne had to pay $1000, Deng $750 and the girl $400.  Deng and the girl remain in custody as their bail hasn’t been paid yet. . Both Kut Deng and Jordon Skelhorne have court ordered conditions not to appear in Cold Lake except to attend court.

Jordon Skelhorne and Kut Deng will be appearing next at Cold Lake Provincial Court on Wednesday, December 14th, at 10:00 a.m. The girl will be on October 26th at 10.
